Calora awarded as UPLB Distinguished Alumnus

Benguet State University (BSU) President Feliciano G. Calora, Jr. was awarded as the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) College of Forestry and Natural Resources Distinguished Alumnus for Institutional Service during the 99th UPLB Loyalty Day and Alumni Homecoming on October 9, 2017.

Calora graduated 1981. He then took his Masters degree and graduated in 1985, and finally taking his PhD in 1992 all in UPLB.

BLIS garners 85.71 passing rate , BSU lauded as top performing school

Benguet State University (BSU) – College of Teacher Education (CTE) garnered a total of 85.71% passing rate and is lauded as one of the three top performing schools in the Librarian Licensure Examination that took place in September.

Twenty-four out of 28 Bachelor in Library and Information Science (BLIS) students passed the licensure examination. They exceeded the national passing rate of 60%.

ORS – PO conducts farmers’ forum

 

Titled “Forum on Enhancing Farm Management through Research Results Dissemination and Application,” the Publications Office of the Benguet State University (BSU) Research Services (ORS – PO) conducted a forum with the farmers at the Chrysanthemum Hall, Research and Extension Building on October 6, 2017.

Five degree programs qualify for Level IV Phase 1, BSAS undergoes re-assessment

Five degree programs namely, Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, Master of Science in Horticulture, Master of Science in Rural Development, PhD in Horticulture, and PhD in Rural Development were qualified for Level IV Phase 2 after the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP) survey visit conducted last July 24-28, 2017.
