BSU-SLS recognizes completers and graduates in K to 12 program

Benguet State University Secondary Laboratory School (BSU-SLS) produced the first batch of Senior High graduates and recognized the completers of the Junior High under the K to 12 program.

The moving up and graduation ceremonies were held at the BSU Gymnasium on May 16, 2018.

In the morning, the Grade 10 completers were recognized in finishing the junior high school requirements. SLS Principal Brenda B. Allay presented the candidates and was confirmed by Vice President for Academic Affairs Kenneth A. Laruan. After the distribution of certificates, the awarding of medals and certificates were given to outstanding students and awardees for specific disciplines and special awards.

Kisha W. Pungsayan, an honor student and awardee thanked their teachers, parents, and batchmates in her speech.

“As we take the first step towards yet another chaotic battle, may we learn and never forget all that we have been through that made us into who we are today. And while fighting for our victory, may we remain humble and grateful towards the people who made it all worthwhile,” expressed Pungsayan.

A total of 115 students were recognized as completers and will be moving up to Senior High.

In the afternoon, the first batch of outgoing Grade 12 students celebrated their Graduation ceremony. A total of 322 senior high school students were confirmed graduates.

The graduates are composed of the following: 50 students finished the Accountancy, Business and Management track; 69 from the Humanities and Social Sciences track; 45 from the Science, Technology, and Math track; 46 from the Sports track; and 112 from the Technical Vocational track with 32 students under the Agri-fishery specialization and 80 under Home Economics.//MDPEnchog
