Four (4) agriculture commodities of the Cordillera Administrative Region will be showcased through Farms and Industry Encounters through the Science and Technology Agenda (FIESTA) on Potato,Coffee, Strawberry and Sweet Potato on November 15-17, 2017 at the Benguet Sports Complex, Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet. This activity is in synchrony with the Benguet Adivay Festival.

FIESTA is a concept of DOST-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development as a strategy to push the commercialization of regional S&T-based products to the market, hence FIESTA will hold various activities such as product display, technology demonstration, knowledge sessions, promotional competitions and activities and farm tours to enhance agricultural awareness; equipping the stakeholders (or general public) with the new trends in farming production and marketing.

The aforesaid high 4 value crops were identified by the Technology-Transfer Cluster of the Highland Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research and Development Consortium (HAARRDEC), which manifested promising economic potentials across lowland, midland and highland areas in CAR. Experts and specialists of each commodity shall be the focal person for the Technology Exhibit and Market Encounter for the entire FIESTA duration as anticipated that a wide variety of audience from the sectors of Agriculture, Aquatic, Forestry and Natural a part from Industry, Engineering and the general public.
