Benguet State University (BSU) has officially entered into a partnership with the Philippine Association for Language Teaching (PALT), Inc. to co-host the upcoming PALT 2026 National Conference on language education.
The collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) by University President Kenneth A. Laruan and PALT Inc. President Editha M. Atendido, witnessed by College of Teacher Education Dean Divina M. Yango, CTE faculty members, and College of Arts and Humanities Dean Ronda B. Tullay.
The agreement underscores a shared commitment to advancing quality education, language, instruction, and academic research in the region and across the country.
Under the provisions of the MOA, BSU will provide the plenary hall, breakout venues, technical facilities, and cultural presentations to showcase the rich heritage of the Cordilleras. In turn, PALT Inc. will oversee the conference administration, speaker invitations, paper screenings, registration, and publication of program materials.
As part of the initiative to support institutional capacity building, PALT Inc. will extend free registration slots to ten BSU faculty members and faculty-student research collaborators.
The conference proper will feature plenary sessions, parallel research presentations, and sponsor exhibits hosted within the BSU La Trinidad campus.//EBawang
