The 39^th Charter Anniversary Celebration began with a Kapihan sa BSU held on January 13, 2025, at the College of Human Kinetics Hall.

The panelists are BSU President Kenneth A. Laruan, VP for Academic Affairs Janet P. Pablo, VP for Business Affairs Josel M. Florentin, VP for Research and Extension Roscinto Ian C. Lumbres, and VP for Administration and Finance Richard H. Kinnud. This new set of BSU leaders presented their respective sectors’ accomplishments and goals for the year. Activities for the 39^th Charter Anniversary Celebration were also announced.

Journalists and reporters from the Philippine News Agency, BSU’s Mountain Collegian, DZWT, RPN DZBS, Rappler, Bombo Radyo, Business Mirror, The Filipino News Sentinel, and PIA-CAR attended the activity and interacted with the panelists.

Several issues and concerns of the public regarding BSU course offerings, research activities, employees, and land reservations were discussed and clarified.

The Kapihan sa BSU is held every year in partnership with the Philippine Information Agency-Cordillera Administrative Region (PIA-CAR) to serve as a venue for BSU officials to reach out to the public through media partners as a commitment to transparency and accountability.
