The Benguet State University (BSU), through the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, launched a new childminding center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 10, 2025, held at the BSU International House.
GAD Director Jude L. Tayaben, joined by VP for Business Affairs Josel M. Florentin and BSU Non-Teaching Association representative Julie Ann R. Dugat-Tabdi, led the ribbon-cutting. The center was later blessed by Chief Administrative Officer Matias C. Angiwan Jr.
In his message, Florentin emphasized the significance of establishing such a facility within the university.
“We gather to celebrate the launching of our new childminding center, the facility that honors our Filipino heritage of nurturing children and our modern responsibility to support employees,” he stated.
The center is designed to support student and employee parents by providing a safe and nurturing environment for their children, allowing them to focus on their academic and professional responsibilities.
