To improve institutional performance and service delivery, a delegation from Cagayan State University (CSU)-Lasam Campus visited Benguet State University (BSU) for a benchmarking activity on August 1, 2025. The visit was led by CSU-Lasam Campus Executive Officer Florante Victor M. Balatico. Balatico aimed to learn from BSU’s implementation of quality assurance and accreditation standards.

The team met with the BSU Office for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (BSU-OQAA) staff member Evelyn D. Rosario to discuss best practices for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).

Discussions covered key areas such as effective strategies for ISO implementation, preparation for AACCUP accreditation, and income-generating projects of the university were introduced. The CSU delegation also met with the Chief of the Finance Division Arnold Andres Lampacan to gain further insights into financial management and budget allocation to the different operations.

Following the discussions, the CSU-Lasam Campus staff members toured the BSU-College of Teacher Education, the Northern Philippine Root Crops and Training Center and the Agri-based Technology Business Incubator/Innovation Center to observe their facilities and operations. BSU accommodates benchmarking activities and field trips from schools, Local Government Units, National Line Agencies, and Non-Government Organizations with the intent to promote collaboration in various areas that may lead to multi-stakeholder partnerships in support of #SDG17.//BTayaban
