The University Business Affairs (UBA) sector launched its 2nd UBA Week with the theme “Innovate, Collaborate, and Grow: Unlocking SUC’s Potential Through Sustainable Income-Generating Projects”, held at the RSDC Hall.

Director of Business Operations and Business Development Services Rashid B. Lokines delivered the opening remarks, acknowledging the officials, employees, and guests present. He also shared an overview of the event.

Afterwards, University President Kenneth A. Laruan emphasized the vital role of Income Generating Projects (IGPs) in supporting the university’s academic, research, extension, and administrative functions.

“Income Generating Projects are more than just sources of additional funds, they are instruments for the growth and development of our university, providing support for academic, research, extension, and administrative activities while serving as training grounds for students and sources of income for our community partners,” he stated.

Laruan thanked all partners and urged continued support to sustain the university’s growth and community development.

This was followed by a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for the opening of the trade fair, located at the CAS-Annex Lawn. The ceremony was led by VP for Research and Extension Roscinto Ian C. Lumbres, Lokines, and Betag Barangay Captain Monalisa D. Comila. The trade fair, held from October 27 to 30, 2025, will showcase products from various university partners.

Other activities during UBA Week includes Product Demo – Stem Cell, seminars on Values Restoration and Disaster Risk Reduction Management, the Income Generating Project Summit, the Launching of Healthy BSU Food Product Options, and UBA Night. //PJG
