In support of the High Value Crops Development Program’s value-adding initiatives, personnel from the Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Office 7 and Cebu Technical University conducted a benchmarking activity at Benguet State University.
Led by Remedios A. Lawingan from DA – Cordillera Administrative Region, the group toured the Food Processing Center, Food Science and Research Innovation Center, and the Agri-based Technology Business Incubator/Innovation Center to observe actual technology operations specifically in root crop processing, dehydration, and vacuum frying. The visit also aimed to gain insights into the facility’s actual conceptual framework and operational setup.//DPaydowan
