Jae Sung Lee and Ramil Maleon from the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) visited Benguet State University (BSU) on January 8, 2025 to discuss potential collaboration in rice research and other areas of partnership. They were warmly welcomed by BSU President Kenneth A. Laruan, along with VP for Research and Extension Roscinto Ian C. Lumbres, VP for Academic Affairs Janet P. Pablo, and College of Agriculture (CA) Faculty Member Jesson Y. Del-amen.

 

 

Following their discussion at the Office of the President, the IRRI representatives toured the heirloom rice project and the Northern Philippines Roots Crops Research and Training Center (NPRCRTC).
