The offices under the Administrative Services Division of Benguet State University (BSU) organized a simple ceremony on August 8, 2025, to honor Chief Administrative Officer Matias C. Angiwan Jr. as he retires from government service.

Held at the University Canteen, the activity was attended by BSU officials led by President Kenneth A. Laruan; the retiree’s family and friends; and members of the La Trinidad Ecumenical Council of Churches (LTECC). It can be recalled that Angiwan is instrumental in organizing the LTECC.

VP for Administration and Finance Richard H. Kinnud opened the ceremony with a warm welcome and a message. He also presented a resolution by the General Administration and Finance Council (GAFC) that formally acknowledged Angiwan’s service, outstanding contributions, and exemplary commitment to BSU. President Laruan also commended Angiwan’s leadership and impact to the university.

Supervising Administrative Officer Raymundo H. Pawid Jr. highlighted Angiwan’s career progression at BSU, tracing his journey from a part-time legal officer to his distinguished position as Chief Administrative Officer. Adding to the tributes, former President Felipe Salaing Comila also shared a message reflecting on the significance of retirement. Various BSU offices then presented their gifts, expressing their appreciation for Angiwan’s leadership and dedication.

VP for Business Affairs Josel M. Florentin delivered the closing remarks, followed by a prayer offered by Angiwan’s son, Matias Angiwan III.//LGuzman&DPaydowan
