The Benguet State University (BSU) Administration and Finance sector welcomed its new VP, Richard H. Kinnud, in a Turnover Ceremony held at the RDC Hall.
Kinnud, a Supervising Administrative Officer at the Cashiering Office, was designated as the VPAF as approved by the Board of Regents (BOR) on December 6, 2024. On the same date, the BOR also approved the designations of Janet P. Pablo, the new VP for Academic Affairs; Josel M. Florentin, the new VP for Business Affairs; and Roscinto Ian C. Lumbres, the re-designated VP for Research and Extension. Their designations took effect on January 1, 2025.
During the ceremony, outgoing VPAF Allan C. Sacpa formally turned over the duties and responsibilities to Kinnud. BSU President Kenneth A. Laruan, the newly designated VPs, other BSU officials, and staff witnessed the event.
In his message, Sacpa expressed his gratitude to the heads and staff of the offices under the VPAF sector for their support. He congratulated the new VPs and commended them for their courage in taking on leadership roles within the university.
In his acceptance speech, Kinnud solicited the support of all BSU personnel as he embarks on his journey as the new VPAF. He looked forward to collaborating and working effectively with all sectors within the university.
Laruan also encouraged everyone to support the new BSU officials as they assume their respective roles.
Following the turnover ceremony, a blessing was conducted for the renovated offices of the VPAF and the Office for Legal Affairs, led by Administration Services Chief Matias C. Angiwan Jr.//EBawayan
