Personnel from the Department of Science and  Technology – Cordillera Administrative Region (DOST-CAR) Accounting Division, visited Benguet State University for a benchmarking activity.

Led by Division Head Shela Lorraine T. Cosalan, the visit aimed to gain more insight into the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS) and its operational procedures.

University Accountant Imelda B. Galinato welcomed the delegates and shared a brief history of the system’s implementation at the university, joined by Reynante S. Marrero from the Information and Communications Technology office.

The discussion centered on the system’s features, functions, and interface including the auditing flow, processes, and financial protocols of the BSU Accounting Office.

BSU accommodates benchmarking activities and field trips from schools, Local Government Units, National Line Agencies, and Non-Government Organizations with the intent to promote collaboration in various areas that may lead to multi-stakeholder partnerships in support of #SDG17.//DPaydowan
