Staff members from Batanes State College (BSC) visited Benguet State University’s Gender and Development (GAD) office for a benchmarking activity on July 18, 2025. The delegation, led by BSC President Djovi R. Durante, aimed to learn about BSU’s GAD practices to strengthen BSC’s GAD programs.
The visitors were welcomed by GAD Director Jude L. Tayaben, former GAD Director Estrellita M. Daclan, GAD Technical Working Group members Raymundo H. Pawid Jr. and Ramon C. Fiangaan Jr., and GAD staff member Feljorie D. Afidchao. Following the introduction, a discussion was held covering topics such as the GAD budget, Childminding Center, and GAD activities.
The activity ended with a visit to the GAD lactation room. BSU accommodates benchmarking activities and field trips from schools, Local Government Units, National Line Agencies, and Non-Government Organizations with the intent to promote collaboration in various areas that may lead to multi-stakeholder partnerships in support of #SDG17.//BTayaban
