Negros Oriental State University staff members visited Benguet State University on June 5, 2025, for a benchmarking activity. The visitors aimed to enhance their understanding of the Gender and Development (GAD) Plan and Budget.
Former GAD Director Estrellita M. Daclan welcomed the NORSU visitors led by GAD Center University Director Aileen Rosette V. Mahinay-Felix. They were joined by the BSU-GAD Office staff and Technical Working Group members namely Freda Kate D. Samuel, Jeftee Ben B. Pinos-an, and Gigy G. Banes.
A discussion followed covering various topics, including the operations of the child minding center, income generating projects, budget proposals, research and extension, gender integration in research, budget allocation, sports-related activities, community outreach, and awards.
Lastly, the visitors were toured to the Food Processing Center, Bakery, Garments, Marketing Center, and the Child Minding Center at the College of Teacher Education. BSU accommodates benchmarking activities and field trips from schools, Local Government Units, National Line Agencies, and Non-Government Organizations with the intent to promote collaboration in various areas that may lead to multi-stakeholder partnerships in support of #SDG17.//BTayaban
