A delegation from Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) visited Benguet State University (BSU) for a benchmarking activity on October 9, 2025. The visit aimed to learn from the practices of BSU’s University Business Affairs (UBA) Office concerning financial management and procurement processes.
The BPSU team, led by Production and Business Enterprise Director Aiza C. Buensuceso and Finance and Management Services Director Nerissa Denise A. Santiago were welcomed by BSU President Kenneth A. Laruan. They were also met by VP for Business Affairs Josel M. Florentin, along with Business Affairs Director Rashid B. Lokines, Special Projects and Partnerships Director Conrado C. Bao-idang, and UBA Executive Assistant Charmie Ann C. Ferreria.
A discussion followed at the Administration and Finance conference room where they covered the mandates of the UBA office and various procurement practices. Procurement Management Office Director Arsenia L. Bayawa also joined the meeting to provide insights into BSU’s procurement processes and the new procurement law.
Following the discussion, the team toured BSU’s Income Generating Projects where they met with Project Managers Joyce M. Campiwer of the University Canteen, Johnabel T. Basatan of the Food Processing Center, and Erma B. Sangbaan of the Bakery. The activity ended with a visit to the UBA office. BSU accommodates benchmarking activities and field trips from schools, Local Government Units, National Line Agencies, and Non-Government Organizations with the intent to promote collaboration in various areas that may lead to multi-stakeholder partnerships in support of #SDG17.//BTayaban
