Buasen of the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) and Ramon Fiangaan of the Office of Student Services (OSS) answered Frequently Asked Questions from applicants of the BSU Admission Test for S.Y. 2025-2026. The following summarizes the questions asked and their answers:
Q1: What happens after you submit your online Admission Test application?
A: After evaluation of documents, you will receive an email either from oss.tmdu@bsu.edu.ph or registrar.admissions@bsu.edu.ph within seven working days. The next steps you may take will be indicated in the email.
Q2: What is the coverage of the BSU Admission Test?
A: General topics covered from Junior High School to Senior High School.
Q3: Does BSU accept transferees?
A: Yes but you still have to take the BSU Admission test.
Q4: Does BSU allow cross enrollees?
A: Yes, but please come during the enrolment period.
Q5: Is there any exemption to the BSU Admission Test?
A: Only applicants whose previous Admission Test results are still valid. Aside from them, all college applicants are required to take the BSU Admission Test.
Q6: Do I need to maintain grades after passing the BSU Admission Test?
A: Yes, you are expected to perform at your best and abide with the university retention policy.
Q7: What if I don’t pass the BSU Admission Test?
A: Do not be too anxious. Believe in yourself.
Q8: Will the subjects I took from another school be carried/credited if I am admitted to BSU?
A: Yes but crediting of subjects will be done during enrolment period.
Q9: How can I apply for scholarships?
A: Search for scholarship programs, you may approach the Office of Student Services for assistance but you have to be a duly enrolled college student first.
Q10: How much is the tuition Fee?
A: No tuition fees are collected from students who met the requirements of the BSU Admission Policy.
Q11: How do I fill out the Certificate of Enrolment/Graduation?
A: Carefully read the instructions on the form before completing it. Ensure all information provided is accurate. If you are currently enrolled, your principal/authorized signatory must sign the “Certification of Enrollment” section. If you have graduated, your principal/authorized signatory must sign the “Certification of Graduation” section. Complete only one of these sections.
Q12. What if there is no email/response from BSU?
A: Please wait for seven working days (exclude Saturday, Sunday and holidays) and regularly check all your inboxes. Make sure that the email address you are checking is the email address you indicated on your online Application Form. If there is still no response, email registrar.admissions@bsu.edu.ph
Q13. Does wrong input of email address and multiple application lead to the rejection of my application?
A: Yes. You will receive an email from the registrar.admissions@bsu.edu.ph for further instructions on when you may come for face-to-face application.
Q14. Is NSO Birth Certificate accepted?
A: Yes. NSO and PSA Birth Certificates are accepted but if they are blurred/unclear, include your local Birth Certificate.
Q15. Is it required that documents are printed in Long Bond Paper?
A: Only the BSU Certificate of Enrollment and Application Form are required to be in Long Bond Paper, the other requirements can be printed in other paper sizes.
Q16. What if I mistakenly placed inaccurate/wrong information in the online Application Form?
A: If you made mistakes in the Application Form, you may correct them when you submit the hard copies at the University Registrar’s Office. Do not correct them on your own.
Q17: What happens when the applicant uploads another format of the Certificate of Enrolment/Graduation other than the format prescribed by BSU?
A: You will receive an email by the registrar.admissions@bsu.edu.ph which will instruct you on what you can do.
Q18: Can rejected applicants apply again?
A: Yes, you will receive an email of your schedule for re-application in face-to-face mode only. In this case, you will be scheduled earlier than March 3, 2025.
Q19: Ano ang Certified True Copy?
A: It is a photocopy of the original document with a mark/stamp and a signature from an authorized signatory certifying that the photocopy is an exact replication of the original document.
Q20: Ano ang process sa pag-apply for admission for graduate/advanced studies?
A: Contact the colleges you want to apply to. Contact details are listed at bsu.edu.ph/contact-us/
Q21: Ano ang process ng face-to-face mode of application for the Admission Test?
A: Bring with you all the documents required. You will be attended to by the OUR personnel.
Q22: Puwede bang magpa re-schedule ng Admission Test?
A: Yes but only for valid reasons (such as medical emergencies) and depending on the availability of slots. Contact oss.tmdu@bsu.edu.ph for this.
Q23: Ano ang puwede at hindi puwedeng dalhin pag kukuha ka na ng Admission Test?
A: Bring everything that is instructed on your test permit. You will be asked to switch off your smart phones and smart watches during the examination. Calculators are not allowed.
