Benguet State University (BSU) marked a significant milestone with the soft launching of the University Business Affairs (UBA)Office Manual of Operations, an initiative aimed at establishing clear, standardized, and systematic guidelines for the sector’s operations.

According to Charmie Ann C. Ferreria, UBA Executive Assistant, the soft launching marks the culmination of more than a decade of efforts, collaboration, and contributions from the individuals and offices involved in developing the manual. After years of preparation and refinement, the initiative reached a significant milestone with its approval by the University’s Board of Regents.

Ferreria highlighted that the UBA Manual of Operations serves as a comprehensive reference outlining the policies and operational guidelines governing the various functions of the University Business Affairs sector. It provides personnel with a common reference in carrying out their respective responsibilities and accountability in service delivery.

She further shared that the development of the manual reflects the University’s continuing commitment to strengthening its institutional practices. Through documented procedures and clearly defined operational guidelines, the sector is better equipped to address administrative concerns, facilitate transactions, and ensure that its operations remain aligned with the University’s goals and standards.

Ferreria also underscored the manual’s importance as a resource for benchmarking activities and institutional knowledge-sharing. It provides BSU with a formal reference of its established practices and operational processes when engaging with other institutions.

More than the introduction of an operational guide, the occasion recognizes the collective efforts and shared commitment of everyone who contributed to the development of the manual. It also marks the beginning of a more structured and guided approach to managing the University’s business operations.

The soft launching was attended by university officials, members of the University Business Affairs sector, and other university personnel who witnessed this significant institutional achievement.
