The Office of Extension Services conducted a seminar on Trichoderma application and mushroom production on July 23, 2026, at the Everlasting Hall, Research and Extension Building. The seminar was attended by members from various municipalities under the Timpuyog ti Umili Benguet State University Internal Guarantee System (TUBIGS).
The seminar commenced with a lecture by Catherine A. Bagsan, Administrative Aide III of the Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture. She discussed the fundamentals of Trichoderma, highlighting its uses, benefits, and proper application in plant care and crop production.
The second resource speaker, Jumarlyn A. Compra, also from the Department of Plant Pathology, delivered a presentation on mushroom production. Her discussion covered the step-by-step production process as well as the common diseases and challenges that may be encountered during cultivation.
The afternoon session was dedicated to the TUBIGS general meeting, during which members discussed the financial report, updates on the organization’s Manual of Operations, and other concerns during an open forum. The meeting was presided over by TUBIGS President Rima A. Mat-an.
