A delegation from Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU) Research Innovation, and Extension (RIE) office headed by Vice President Riz Rupert L. Ortiz, conducted a cross-learning visit to Benguet State University. The visit aimed to benchmark best practices, acquire innovative ideas, and gain new perspective regarding Research, Development, and Extension programs.

During the visit, the NwSSU team met with BSU officials including Office of Research Services Director Ruth S. Batani, Institute of Social Research and Development Director Ann Heather B. Kiwang, Center for Educational Research Innovation Director Janet Lynn M. Balagtey, Agri-based Technology Business Incubator/Innovation Center Director Ruth C. Diego, Office of Extension Services  Officer-in-charge Ana Cris L. Langaoan, CordiCARE Director Jhomee Fe F. Sapitan, and Riaflor Rebolledo of the Research Extension and Publication Office.

The session covered topics about insights on how research ethics is operationalized, conduct on impact assessment, publications, and extension programs. The delegation also visited the ATBI/IC to learn about its operations.//DPaydowan
