The Benguet State University Canteen in collaboration with the BSU Bamboo Innovation and Development Extension Center (BIDEC) Project, hosted an Inter-College Bamboo Cook Fest as part of the first UBA festival.

The competition featured six teams of students from the College of Human Ecology (CHE) and College of Teacher Education (CTE) who showcased their culinary skills by making dishes out of bamboo shoots locally known as rabong.

Faith Dong-on and Althea Gavino of Team 6 from CTE emerged as winners of the competition. They were followed by Nash Wallang and Kinbert Victor, of Team 3 from CHE as first runner up, and Eloralayne Baldevino and Jemima Hidalgo of Team 4 from CHE as the second runner-up.//DPaydowan
