The Benguet State University community gathered at the Gymnasium for an Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service as part of the University’s 110th Foundation Anniversary and the 126th Philippine Civil Service Month celebrations, themed “Flourishing in Excellence Through Community-Centric Innovations and Partnerships.”

The service, reflecting the university’s continuing tradition of celebrating its milestones through prayer, thanksgiving, and Christian fellowship, was led by the La Trinidad Ecumenical Council of Churches. Participating churches included the Anglican Church in the Philippines, Conservative Baptist Church of Northern Luzon, Cordillera Lutheran Church, La Trinidad Baptist Church, Pico Nazarene Church, Roman Catholic Church, United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP), and Wesleyan Church.

The service gave the BSU community a chance to pause from its anniversary activities and give thanks for the university’s more than a century of service in education, research, extension, production, and community development.

Through prayers, scripture readings, and messages, the participating church leaders offered spiritual guidance and prayers for the university, its leaders, faculty and staff, students, alumni, and partner communities.

The Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service served as a meaningful part of the milestone celebration, bringing the BSU community together in gratitude for the past, prayer for the present, and hope for the university’s future.//NSudaypan, EBawang
