The Benguet State University Non-Teaching Association, Supreme Student Government, and the College of Human Kinetics conducted the BSU Color Fun Run and Fun Walk with the theme, “Lingkod Bayani Run 2026: Stride as One, Serve the Nation.” This activity was part of BSU’s 110th Foundation Anniversary and the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebrations.

The event brought students from various colleges, faculty members, and non-teaching personnel. It began with a Zumba dance exercise, followed by the Color Fun Run’s gun start.

Participants wore white tops as they ran while they were splashed with green and yellow paint, representing BSU’s official colors.

The Fun Walk followed, allowing other participants to join the anniversary activity at a more relaxed pace.

VP for Administration and Finance Richard H. Kinnud described the event as one of the biggest crowds gathered for a running activity at the university.

Citing the story of the tortoise and the hare, Kinnud reminded participants that finishing the race is more important than being the fastest. He emphasized that the activity was not about moving quickly or slowly, but about moving forward together as one university.

“This fun run is not about moving fast or slow but moving together as one, especially since this is our 110th Foundation Anniversary celebration.

Let us move together as one university,” he said.
The activity concluded with another Zumba session, followed by the distribution of certificates and special awards.//EBawang, WMarcos
