The Institute of Highland Farming Systems and Agroforestry (IHFSA), Benguet State University, in collaboration with Office of Extension Services (OES) implemented its activity on project titled “Organizational Growth and Business Outgrowth for Peoples Organization and Farmers Association (OGBO-Program)”.
On Day 1 (July 21), the team conducted a seminar-workshop titled “Reforestation Integrating Coffee and Forest Trees for Sustainable Livelihood and Environment Management Training” at Banaue, Ifugao. The activity involved lectures on Reforestation and Agroforestry Systems, followed by a farm mapping activity by the participants.
On Day 2 (July 22), the team also conducted a seminar-workshop titled “Sustainable Upland Farming: Enhancing Livelihoods and Soil Conservation through Agrofruit Livelihood Technology (SALT 4)” at Bontoc, Mt. Province. The activity consisted of a lecture on Small Agrofruit Livelihood Technology followed by a farm mapping activity by the participants.
The program will continue to support the beneficiaries through coffee and fruit seedlings in the next phase of implementation, promoting sustainable livelihoods, environmental conservation, and community resilience.
