Delegates from Benguet State University, led by University President Kenneth A. Laruan joined the parade in celebration of the 39th Cordillera Month. This year’s celebration centers on the theme, “Smart Cordillera: Enabling Local Enterprises through Digital Transformation and Accelerated Regional Autonomy”.

In his message, Benguet Provincial Governor Melchor D. Diclas expressed his gratitude to the participants and working committees of the event. Diclas stated that despite the mountains that separate our communities and the diversity of our language and traditions, we remain one Cordilleran bound by a common history, strengthened by our shared identity and united by our aspirations for the future.

“As we embrace technology, innovations and new opportunities, we must continue to protect the values, traditions and indigenous knowledge that define us as, and move forward without forgetting who we are because our culture and identity remain among our greatest strength as Cordillerans” he added.//DJPaydowan, CDDeguzman, PJGadang
