13.3 Environmental Education Measures
13.3.1 LOCAL EDUCATION PROGRAMMES ON CLIMATE
The university provides local education programs on climate change, global warming, disaster risks reduction and management in its academic programs. For instance, the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (BSES), Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Master of Science in Environmental Science offers courses related to environmental issues and climate change.

Another undergraduate course that includes climate change risks, impacts, mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning is National Service Training Program (NSTP). This course is in compliance with Republic Act No. 9163, an act mandating the offering of NSTP in all higher education institutions for all their baccalaureate degrees to promote civic consciousness among youth.
Information on climate change, global warming, disaster risks reduction and management is also being disseminated to the general public in co-curricular activities like Environmental science Week wherein climate and risk reduction and management experts are being invited in the said events.
