Benguet State University President Kenneth A. Laruan attended the First Quarter Meeting of the Regional Development Council–Cordillera Administrative Region (RDC-CAR) at Hotel Elizabeth, Baguio City. The meeting, presided over by RDC Chairperson and Apayao Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr., brought together regional leaders and agency heads for an integrated review of budget allocations, infrastructure priorities, regional development initiatives, and organizational resilience.

Discussions focused on major regional projects, emphasizing the need for precise budget management, strategic policy alignment, and strengthened inter-agency coordination. The Council underscored the importance of transparent communication, stakeholder engagement, and continuous evaluation to ensure effective project implementation. One key agenda item was the endorsement of the proposed FY 2027 budgets of Regional Line Agencies and State Universities and Colleges, including that of Benguet State University.

After the meeting, President Laruan met with heads of Regional Line Agencies, SUC presidents, the MBLISTTDA Administrator, and local executives to explore collaborative projects and shared initiatives supporting the region’s development goals.
