Benguet State University (BSU) welcomed Prof. Atsushi Yushimoto from the Institute of Statistical Mathematics (ISM), Dr. Ken-Ichi Kamo from Sapporo Medical University, and Prof. Masashi Konoshima from the University of Ryukyus on December 17, 2024. During a courtesy call facilitated by CF Faculty Nova Doyog, the delegation was introduced to Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF) Allan C. Sacpa, Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) Samuel S. Poliden, and Vice President for Research and Extension (VPRE) Roscinto Ian C. Lumbres. The discussion focused on their itinerary and prospects for future collaboration.
In the afternoon, the Research and Extension (R&E) sector hosted an introductory meeting on exploring international organizations in support of BSU’s global goals. The visiting professors shared opportunities for BSU to join international organizations and introduced their academic journal, which BSU researchers could consider for publishing their studies.
The delegation also toured BSU’s research centers, including the Institute of Highland Farming Systems and Agroforestry (IHFSA) and the Cordillera Regional Apiculture Center (CRAC). Their visit will continue until December 19, 2024.//BSU-International Relations Office
