Benguet State University welcomed Canadian delegates from Catalyste+ under the Innovative Leadership for Equitable and Accessible Democracy (i-LEAD) Project during a courtesy call at the Office of the President.

Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the President and VP for Business Affairs Josel M. Florentin, together with VP for Academic Affairs Janet P. Pablo and VP for Administration and Finance Richard H. Kinnud, received the delegation. The visiting team includes Environmental Consultant Melinda McLauchlin, Senior Biologist Paul McLauchlin, and Global Operations Leader and Sustainability Strategist Julian Baricuatro. They discussed the visitors’ engagement activities and the upcoming university initiatives.

Melinda McLauchlin and Paul McLauchlin will be based at the BSU-Bokod Campus for three weeks to help develop proposals for its Biodiversity Center. Meanwhile, Julian Baricuatro will serve as the resource speaker for the Generative AI Training of Trainers workshop, scheduled for September 21–25, 2026, at the CCARD Hall.//DPaydowan
