Thirteen staff members from Mountain Province State University (MPSU) visited Benguet State University (BSU) on January 23, 2025 to exchange ideas and best practices with the Internal Audit Services (IAS) Office.

They were welcomed by the IAS Office staff headed by Angeline D. Alicda. The visit began with a courtesy call to BSU President Kenneth A. Laruan followed by a discussion at the Rogelio D. Colting Hall.

Before the presentation, Gabriel T. Sawate Jr., Internal Auditor III of MPSU, shared a message from MPSU President Edgar G. Cue expressing gratitude to BSU for hosting their visit and enhancing their understanding of the role and impact of IAS. He added that the sharing of best practices would empower the MPSU staff.

After the message, Alicda presented an overview of the IAS processes and functions, detailing how the office has improved its operations and conducted audits for the university. This was followed by a learning session where various questions regarding tools, targets, and audit plans were addressed.

The visitors were also given a tour of the IAS office, where they received additional insights into the office’s processes.//BTayaban
