The Office for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (OQAA) conducted an orientation and Internal Accreditation for the upcoming Level I Survey Visit of the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry under the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP). The survey visit is scheduled for July 27–31, 2026.
During the orientation, Dr. Alafag presented the schedule of pre-survey and on-site activities, outlining the roles and responsibilities of the concerned offices and task forces to ensure effective coordination throughout the accreditation process. She also discussed the highlights of the previous accreditation as a reference for the forthcoming survey and explained the required ratings for the award of accreditation status. The orientation provided participants with a common understanding of the accreditation process, reinforced compliance with accreditation requirements, clarified expectations, and identified priority areas requiring attention before the survey.
Following the presentations, an open forum was conducted, allowing participants to raise questions, seek clarifications, and provide suggestions regarding the University’s accreditation preparations. Meanwhile, OQAA staff members Ms. Geraldine S. Tumbaga and Ms. Judith V. Nabus consulted with the task forces to address concerns regarding their accreditation documents and compliance with the recommendations of the internal accreditors. The activity concluded with the review and organization of accreditation documents to ensure their completeness and readiness for the survey.
Through the orientation, the Office for Quality Assurance and Accreditation reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening institutional readiness and fostering collaboration among the concerned offices and task forces in support of a successful AACCUP Level I Accreditation Survey Visit.//Bsu Oqaa
