The Office for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (OQAA) conducted an orientation meeting in preparation for the upcoming Preliminary Survey Visit of the Bachelor of Science in Criminology under the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), scheduled on September 21–25, 2026. The activity also served as a preparatory orientation for the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in anticipation of its succeeding accreditation activities. The orientation aimed to familiarize the assigned task forces with the accreditation process, requirements, and preparations necessary for the survey visits. A total of twenty-four (24) faculty and staff members from the BS Criminology and BS Mathematics programs participated in the meeting, under the leadership of Dr. Monica S. Alimondo, Department Chairperson of the Department of Mathematics, College of Natural Sciences (CNAS), and Dr. Victor S. Delos Santos, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE).

During the session, Ms. Judith V. Nabus, a staff member of the OQAA, discussed the Preliminary Survey Visit (PSV), highlighting its significance, the roles and responsibilities of the task forces, the procedures for preparing accreditation documents, and the schedules before and during the survey. Subsequently, Ms. Jacelle Grace M. Maidun, also a staff member of OQAA, oriented the task forces on the recommended applications and best practices for organizing accreditation documents, including the proper formatting, printing, scanning, and uploading of files to ensure that documentary requirements are systematically prepared and readily accessible during the survey.

The orientation concluded with an open forum, during which participants raised questions and sought clarifications regarding the University’s accreditation preparations. Dr. Joanna I. Alafag, together with Ms. Nabus and Ms. Maidun, addressed the participants’ concerns and provided additional guidance on the accreditation process. The activity served as an important preparatory initiative to strengthen coordination among the task forces, enhance document readiness, and ensure that both programs are well-prepared for a successful AACCUP Preliminary Survey Visit.//Bsu Oqaa
