Benguet State University (BSU) celebrates another significant milestone as seven academic programs from the La Trinidad and Buguias campuses have successfully attained Level I Accredited Status following the evaluation conducted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
The Level I Accreditation Survey Visit was conducted on March 16–20, 2026, covering five academic programs from the BSU La Trinidad campus and two programs from the BSU Buguias campus.
The following programs from the BSU La Trinidad campus earned Level I Accredited Status:
– Bachelor of Science in Biology
– Bachelor of Arts in Filipino Language
– Bachelor of Arts in English Language
– Bachelor of Arts in Communication
– Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science
The BSU Buguias campus also achieved Level I Accredited Status for the following programs:
– Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education (Majors in Agricultural Crop Production, Animal Production, Automotive Technology, Civil Technology, Electrical Technology, Food Service Management, and Garments Fashion and Design)
– Bachelor of Physical Education
The accreditation process evaluated the programs’ compliance with AACCUP’s quality assurance standards across key areas, including instruction, faculty, curriculum, research, extension, library services, laboratories, student support, and governance. Achieving Level I Accredited Status affirms that these programs have met the established standards of quality and are committed to continuous improvement in delivering higher education.
This achievement reflects the collective dedication of the University administrators, faculty members, staff, students, and stakeholders who worked collaboratively throughout the accreditation process.
