The newly-appointed University President, Dr. Kenneth Alip Laruan, paid a visit to Benguet State University’s Buguias Campus on January 22, 2025 to address pressing matters and engage with campus personnel.

Dr. Laruan’s first order of business was an ocular inspection of the proposed site for the Department of Health (DOH) clinic within the BSU-Buguias Campus compound. This initiative aims to improve access to healthcare services for students, faculty, and staff. Moreover, the clinic, strategically located, is expected to benefit not just the students but the entire community, enhancing healthcare accessibility for all. He was accompanied during the inspection by Campus Administrator Dr. Jerry S. Landacan, former Executive Dean Mr. Florendo P. Comila, School Nurse Ms. Melody C. Domalti, the Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) Dr. Victor O. Delos Santos, one staff member from the Office of the University President, and one staff member from the Campus Administrator’s office.

Following the ocular visit, Dr. Laruan proceeded to a consultation session with key campus stakeholders. The consultation provided an opportunity for Office Heads, faculty members, and staff to voice their immediate concerns and share insights on campus operations and needs.

After the productive engagements at Buguias Campus, Dr. Laruan continued his itinerary by traveling to BSU’s Bokod Campus to fulfill further responsibilities.//Montañosa Herald
