Benguet State University through its Health Maintenance Organization’s Technical Working Group (HMO-TWG) conducted an activity to orient employees regarding the University’s HMO services, processes, and guidelines.

The event was held face-to-face at the College of Teacher Education’s  Dominador S. Garin Hall and was simultaneously held online. HMO-TWG Chairperson Donato R. Wanawan Jr., shared that the key objective of the activity was to address employee concerns and provide clarity on the HMO-type benefits.

Following Wanawan’s message, HMO-TWG member Dr. Ruel G. Revilla presented the overview of the Medical Allowance grant. He highlighted the TWG’s ongoing efforts to evaluate potential HMO providers and review of the offerings to ensure the best possible options.

Dr. Revilla also clarified the two options available to BSU employees: a group plan or an individual plan. To facilitate the decision-making process, Bella Liza W. Lampacan of the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) presented the medical allowance form. This form, available on the HRIS website, allows employees to choose between availing the HMO as a group or receiving the equivalent amount in cash. Employees are required to submit the signed form to the HRMO.

The same activity was also conducted at BSU Buguias Campus on September 5 and BSU Bokod Campus on September 8.//BTayaban
