Benguet State University celebrated the United Nations Day through various activities organized by the BSU Supreme Student Government (BSU SSG) in coordination with the International Relations Office.

The celebration, held on October 30, 2025, began with a Parade of Flags, bringing together students, faculty, staff, and international students. Each college represented various nations. The parade symbolized global unity and respect for cultural diversity.

The parade was followed by the Pasikatan where BSU colleges made performances inspired by the country of their choice. This highlighted cultural heritage through music, dance, and storytelling. The Mr. and Ms. United Nations competition added excitement as representatives from each college proudly showcased attires from different countries and also participated in a question-and-answer segment.

The celebration concluded with the UN Variety Show, where students demonstrated their talents in cultural and modern dance, music, and dramatic dialogues. The variety show was organized by the BSU SSG and the Center for Culture and the Arts.

Other activities included in the celebration are Chalk Art for Sustainability and an Advocacy Video competition.

This celebration highlighted the university’s commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Through this event, Benguet State University champions peace, inclusivity, and global partnerships, fostering a campus environment that embraces diversity and collaboration for a better future.
