BSU Showcases Cultures of Cordilleras and Lowlands

October 27, 2023 – BSU students, faculty members, and guests gathered at the CAS Annex Grounds to witness the cultural presentations of university students for the Visual Research and Intercultural Exchange with the theme, “Showcasing the Gender & Cultural Expressions of the Cordilleras and the Lowlands.”

The whole-day event featured presentations of Cordilleras and Lowlands indigenous songs and dances by selected first-year students from the BA in Communication, BS in Industrial Engineering, and BS in Civil Engineering along with second-year students from the BS in Electrical Engineering.  An exhibit of Cordilleras and Lowlands indigenous foods was also on display for evaluators, guests, and students.

The College of Social Sciences (CSS), Master of Arts in Social Studies Students’ Association (MASSSA), Kritikal na Kamalayan sa Kasaysayan (KKK), Gender and Development Office (GAD), BSU Alumni Association, Inc (BSUAAI), and BSU Museum organized the said activity with support from Foro Internacional de Mujeros Indigenas (FIMI) and International Indigenous Women’s Forum.
