Six faculty and staff from the Mindanao State University (MSU) sought the expertise of Benguet State University (BSU) on strawberries to help them enhance their project on strawberry farming on May 30, 2024. 

Leila Mary A. Ayban, director of the Horticultural Research and Training Institute (HORTI), received the visitors and imparted knowledge on strawberry varieties, cultivation techniques, and preparation of planting materials. She encouraged the MSU visitors to consider establishing their tissue culture laboratory, which will be beneficial to their strawberry production endeavors. They also looked forward to collaborating on strawberry research and development.

Finally, the MSU team visited the Agri-based Technology Business Incubator/Innovation Center (ATBI/IC) facilities and the strawberry farms to gather more information on strawberry production.//EBawayan
