Faculty and staff from Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) conducted a benchmarking activity at the BSU-College of Engineering on August 1, 2024. The group from ASCOT wanted to learn from the experiences of BSU-CE in preparing for accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).

They were welcomed by BSU President Felipe Salaing Comila, who expressed his confidence that the visitors would gain knowledge from the BSU-CE. The group was met by BSU-CE department chairs and faculty members led by Dean Leonardo D. Dumalhin.

Both institutions shared their experiences and best practices. Among the topics discussed were the curriculum, thesis courses, admission requirements, thesis publication, and accreditation processes.//BTayaban & DPaydowan
