Benguet State University (BSU) once again asserted its dominance in the athletic arena by emerging as the overall champion of the CARASUC 2023 Athletic Meet and Culture and the Arts Competition. The event was held on April 18-21, 2023, at Kalinga State University, with the theme "Sustaining Sports, Culture, and the Arts for National Building during Post-Pandemic."

Despite the three-year hiatus brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, BSU showed no signs of rust and went on to bag an impressive 127 gold medals, the most decorated SUC, giving a comfortable lead over other participating universities. Kalinga State University (KSU) finished second with 41 golds, followed by Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) with 32 golds, Ifugao State University (IFSU) with 25 golds, Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST) with 15 golds, and Apayao State College (ASC) with 10 golds.
    
BSU's triumph was not just limited to the athletic events, as it also emerged victorious in the Socio-Cultural and the Arts Competition. The university accumulated 149 points, topping KSU with 135 points, ASIST with 99 points, IFSU with 73 points, ASC with 67 points, and MPSPC with 58 points.
    
The CARASUC 2023 Athletic Meet and Culture and the Arts Competition showcased the talent and skills of student-athletes and artists from various universities in the Cordillera Administrative Region.
