BSU GAD conducts 2023 year-end evaluation

The Benguet State University (BSU) Gender and Development (GAD) office conducted its year-end evaluation and accomplishment reporting workshop at the Santiago Cove Hotel, Santiago, Ilocos Sur. The activity was attended by the GAD office Technical Working Group (TWG) members. It aims to review GAD Projects, Programs, and Activities (PPA) and to regulate adjustments to improve the quality of service provided, enhance the capability of participants to mainstream GAD, and determine and discuss different GAD issues in the University.

The resource person, Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) resource pool member Ferdinand P. Gonzales, discussed the overview of the GAD plan and budget and the review of the 2023 GAD PAPs outputs on the 2023 GAD accomplishment report. This was followed by the presentation of the revised BSU GAD Planning Budget for the year 2024 by Feljorie D. Afidchao of the GAD Secretariat.

Moreover, GAD Director Estrelita M. Daclan tackled the benefits of BSU GAD being a Zonal GAD Resource Center in the Cordillera Administrative Region, such as excellence in gender mainstreaming status, support for GAD-related research, programs, projects, and activities, and support for international networking and linkages.

Aside from lectures and workshops, GAD TWG members presented their 2023 accomplishment reports and their activity proposals for their respective offices and campuses to mainstream GAD for the year 2024. Different activities were also prepared by the GAD office to enhance and develop their leadership, communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills. The activity ended with takeaways from the participants and responses from the resource person. Finally, Daclan thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the activity.
