In pursuit of academic and research excellence, the Quirino State University (QSU) conducted a benchmarking activity at Benguet State University (BSU) Northern Philippines Root Crops Research and Training Center (NPRCRTC), on October 19, 2023.

The QSU team headed by Dr. Jonathan N. Tariaga, was welcomed by NPRCRTC Director Cynthia G. Kiswa with NPRCRTC staff. The visit featured a series of comprehensive activities such as sharing best practices, guided tours of the center’s research facilities, and exchange of knowledge with experts in the field. The visiting team had the opportunity to learn about researches in root crop breeding, market industry, and sustainable cultivation practices.

The visitors expressed their gratitude to the university for sharing their best practices as they also aim to establish their own root crops center and enhance their agricultural programs and research initiatives.
