With the commitment to strengthen the positioning of Benguet State University (BSU) in the international ranking, the University joined 15 other Higher Education Institutions in CAR and Region 1 in the Filipino Leaders in Advancing International Reputation (FLAIR) Masterclass 2 organized by the Commission on Higher Education-Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR).

Twenty-one BSU personnel participated in the three-day activity held on August 2-4, 2023, at the Cordillera Career Development College.

The FLAIR Masterclass 2 aims to capacitate participants to understand the processes and methodologies used in three international rankings, which include QS Stars Ranking, Times Higher Education (THE), and World University Rankings in Innovation (WURI).

After undergoing the FLAIR Masterclass, the BSU participants are expected to work on QS Stars Rating or QS Asia University Ranking, THE, and WURI to level up the University’s international branding in the academic global arena.

In 2020, BSU garnered 3 Stars under the QS Stars Rating System. In the 2023 THE Impact Rankings, BSU gained an overall rank of 1001+ and ranked 201-300 in the 2023 WURI ranking.//Alma Santiago and Racquel Fatog
