Int'l Coaches Run IHK's Strength and Conditioning Workshop

A three-day strength and conditioning workshop organized by the College of Human Kinetics on June 18-19, 2023 featured international resource persons. They are Prof. Timothy Dornemann of the North Carolina Wesleyan University, Coach Jenny Marcos of the Professional Pickleball Association of the Philippines (PPA) and Coach Ryan Elizaga of the Athletes in Action, Philippines.   

Prof. Timothy Dornemann is Director of Education for International Performance Sciences    at the North Carolina Wesleyan University and has been in the University for several times already. Coach Jenny Marcos is a certified USPTA tennis professional with more than 30 years of coaching experience. She is the founder of the PPA, Philippines. Pickelball is a growing international sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. Coach Ryan Elizaga heads Athletes in Action, Philippines since 2020, he has been working with Philippine athletes at different levels for over a decade. The organization is a global community that aims to develop athletes physically, mentally and spiritually.

The the three-day workshop included Pickleball Clinic, Progressive Plyometric Training, Applied Strength and Power, and Group Dynamic Warm Up Design by the Participants. The workshop was participated by faculty and staff from the College of Human Kinetics, BSU Bokod, BSU Buguias, Kalinga State University, Mountain Province State Polytechnic College and Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology.//JSTabangcura
