Academic Programs (Advanced Studies)

MAED- EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION AND SUPERVISION
The program of Master in Education major in Educational Administration and Supervision is consistent with thrusts in education, specifications and competency standards in compliance with CMO 15, s.2019. In this program, the culture for inquiry and research is developed. The course work of thirty three (33) units is research based as evidenced by the course reference materials, course requirements, and the assessment systems.

Graduates are equipped with administrative, and supervisory skills in the management and implementation of school programs as provided in the Philippine Professional Standards for School Heads. 

The program requires a comprehensive examination to assess the students’ ability to analyze, integrate, evaluate, and apply the different knowledge and skills developed in the various courses taken. The culminating project shall be a thesis equivalent to six (6) units that shows a significant contribution to the profession and  published in a reputable journal. 

 MAED- ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
Master of Arts in Education major in Elementary Education (MAED-ELED)  is a thesis program track designed to provide students  with advanced academic and/or professional knowledge , skills and competencies , leading to a second  degree aligned with a successfully  completed  bachelor’s degree  program major in  elementary education . It contains   theoretically-based major fields of study with practical and research components, and are informed by state-of the -art research and/or best professional practice. The program requires a comprehensive examination   to assess the student’s ability to analyze, integrate, evaluate, and apply the different knowledge and skills developed  in the various courses taken. The culminating project shall be  a thesis  equivalent to six (6) units  that shows a significant contribution  to the profession  and published in a  reputable journal. This program is in compliance  with the provisions of  CMO 15, s. 2019 on the policies and standards for graduate program in education.  

MAED- EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
This Master of Arts in Education (MAED) major in Early Childhood Education is a thesis graduate degree program primarily designed for those who holds a degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. It is intended for professionals seeking for advanced expertise and skills in the field of early childhood development and teaching. It will provide careers for early childhood practitioners and those who are planning to become administrators of early childhood programs or managers of own childhood care centers. This program is in compliance with the provisions of CMO 53 s, 2007  & CMO 15, s. 2019  on the policies and standards for graduate programs in education.
The program requires a comprehensive examination to assess the students’ ability to analyze, integrate, evaluate, and apply the different knowledge and skills developed in the various courses taken. The culminating project shall be a thesis equivalent to six (6) units that shows a significant contribution to the profession and  published in a reputable journal. This program is in compliance with the provisions of CMO No. 15, s. 2019 on the policies and standards for graduate programs in education.  

MASTER OF ARTS IN GUIDANCE
The Master of Arts in Guidance (MAG) program aims to update and enrich guidance and counseling practitioners, teachers and other education professionals’ theoretical perspectives and technical knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and experiences. It will provide the guidance and counseling graduate students with advance competencies in guidance and which shall result to improve capacity to develop, practice and deliver professional, ethical, relevant, efficient, and services that involves the use of integrated approach to the development of well-functioning individuals.

Finally, the curriculum aims to develop the guidance and counseling graduate students research capabilities for replicating, verifying, validating, contextualizing, and/or applying theoretical and practical knowledge of the guidance and counseling process.  The program requires a comprehensive examination to assess the students’ ability to analyze, integrate, evaluate, and apply the different knowledge and skills developed in the various courses taken. The culminating project shall be a thesis equivalent to six (6) units that shows a significant contribution to the profession and  published in a reputable journal.

Doctor of Philosophy in Education Major in Educational Management
The program of Doctor of Philosophy in Education Major in Educational Management is consistent with thrusts in education, specifications and competency standards in compliance with CMO No.53 s. 2007 and CMO 15, s.2019. In this program, the culture for inquiry and research must be developed. The course work of forty eight (48) units is research based as evidenced by the course reference materials, course requirements, and the assessment systems.

 The program requires a comprehensive examination to assess the students’ ability to analyze, integrate, evaluate, and apply the different knowledge and skills developed in the various courses taken. The culminating project shall be a dissertation research equivalent to 12 units that shows the students’ independent research work and significant contribution to the profession of education. The research output shall be consistent with the thrusts of educational management.
