To launch the Education Week from December 2 to December 6, the College of Teacher Education prepared their students from the elementary and tertiary levels to perform and showcase their talents during the regular Monday Flag Ceremony on December 2. An exhibit at the CTE Student’s Lounge was also organized to run for the week.
BSU led by its Gender and Development Unit joined the rest of the country on the 18-day campaign to end violence against women.
The 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) aims to emphasize increased commitment and accountability of duty-bearers.
Windbreakers and small farm water reservois are two technologies that the research titled, “Participatory and Community-Based Climate Change Adaptation Strategies in Benguet Province” is promoting. Beyond that, the research also aims to increase the Benguet people’s awareness to climate change and their vulnerability to its effects.
Another batch of examinees from the College of Teacher Education has successfully surpassed the national passing rates for this year’s Licensure Examination for Teachers held last September 29, 2013. The result was released last November 22, 2013.
The Bachelor of Elementary Education examinees listed a passing rate of 82.17% for first timers and 16.28% for re-takers adding up to an institutional passing rate of 68.00% surpassing the national passing rate of 31.18%.
